One of the really great things about working at Logo is that socks are never required. We are allowed a pretty casual dress code for the office which is easy to take advantage of. I don’t even have to wait for Fridays to wear my Chaco’s and jeans! Most days I’m wearing sandals until the weather cools for winter. Then it’s necessary to transition to boots.
So when a food drive email request from my co-worker, Kelly Clifford, shows up themed “Soup and Socks” I start to wonder what this is about. I’m almost embarrassed to admit how strange this request initially seemed to me. It would have been easy to click delete since this is one of many emails requesting something extra this time of year.
However, it would not have been easy to delete an email from Kelly who continues to be our company “cheerleader” when most of us are focused in other directions. Maybe socks aren’t at the top of my list of needs but they definitely are for someone. Kelly has been working for our Logo Sales/Customer Service team for almost six years. What makes her great at her job is that she is always thinking about what is relevant to others, for our customers and outside of work responsibilities.
Thanks, Kelly, for reminding us that maybe “socks” should sometimes be required.
